Once a member, we encourage you to participate in our annual events and service projects. Doing so will lead to the betterment of our community, neighboring communities, and communities worldwide. Our History
In 1925, a group of businessmen in Edwardsville, Illinois formed this club as part of Rotary International.
Some of them had been meeting at the other clubs in the area and felt Edwardsville could sustain and benefit from its own organization. The Granite City Rotary Club sponsored the group and on April 8,1925, the Rotary Club of Edwardsville received their charter from Rotary International.
The Edwardsville club now has approximately 150 members and is one of the largest in our district, number 6460. Our club sponsored the Highland Rotary Club and the Goshen Rotary Club, as well as co-sponsoring the Collinsville and Bethalto Rotary Clubs. More recently, we helped start an Interact Club at Edwardsville High School and support the Goshen Rotary Club in their work with the SIUE Rotaract Club.
In October of 2023, the Club moved from First Christian Church to the Leclaire Room (600 Troy Rd #109, Edwardsville). For many years, the club met at St Johns United Methodist Church (201 St Louis Street) but moved in In April of 2006 to The First Christian Church (310 South Main Street).
